At St. Pious, we know how to reward meritorious students. This compilation would help you in knowing the various types of Scholarships & Financial Assistances by the College Management:

Contribution for a memorial award/scholarship fund show respect for a loved one who has passed on. While flowers, cards, and gifts are a touching gesture for loved ones of those who have passed on. A grant collection directly honours the memory of a loved one who is no longer living. A grant will carry the name of a loved one along with a legacy to prioritize learning. When you set up a fund in a loved one’s memory, you are touching the lives of hopeful students and honouring future generations which will be a ray of hope in the lives of St Pious College Students.

1.The Memorial scholarship amount will be awarded as scholarship towards the Tuition fee and other fees of the student in the Institution.
2.The Sponsor can name the scholarship on their beloved ones or family name. Eg. Gandhi memorial scholarship.
3.If the Sponsor wishes to sponsor the scholarship or an award to a special category of students like B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, MBA or any other category (eg. Gandhi Memorial Award for topper in English) they are welcomed.
4.The scholarship amount can be contributed to the Institution annually or as consolidate amount to be fixed and given as an award every year.
5.The amount of Scholarship to be given is at the discretion of Sponsor Rs 5000.00 and above annually or a fixed amount of Rs. 100000.00 (which will be used as fixed fund to give every year) and above.
6.The sponsor can transfer the amount either by cheque or any e - payment mode to College Account No. 0549053000002048 , IFSC Code SIBL0000549 , South Indian Bank, Habsiguda Street No-8 branch.
7.The Awards Committee with the consent of the Management will finalise the eligible candidate for scholarship.
8.The family members of the sponsors are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
9.The recipient should agree to on the scholarship terms and conditions and will pursue the study with the funding offer.
10.The award recipient should produce a formal letter confirming the details of the scholarship within the stipulated time. If not given it will be awarded to the next eligible candidate.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
a) Financial Assistance by Management: The Management renders financial assistance like concession in college fee to the deserving students. The prescribed form for fee concession along with Income certificate issued by M.R.O should be submitted. Caste, Residence and Income certificates issued by M.R.O should be enclosed with the Scholarship forms.

b) Government Scholarships: PG and MBA students can apply for the Government Scholarships as per the guidelines directed by the Government from time to time. College is a facilitator to the students to avail the scholarships. Scholarships Offered:
  • RTF: Reimbursement of Tuition Fee from State Govt. in full for students pursuing PG courses approved by the University.
  • MTF: Maintenance charges or Mess charges for PG students are sanctioned every month as per the rates mentioned by Telangana Government.
    • Students Eligibility Criteria:
    • Students who belong to SC, ST categories whose annual parental income is Rs. Two Lakhs or below.
    • BC & Minority Welfare Students of rural area whose family income is Rs. 1 lakh to 50,000 or below.
    • BC & Minority Welfare Students of Urban area whose family annual income is Rs. 2 Lakhs or below.
    • EBC, Disabled Welfare Students whose parental income is Rs. One lakh or below.
    • Students whose attendance is 75% at the end of each semester.

      • c) Proficiency Scholarships by Management: University Ranks & Medals are the most noteworthy feature of the college for its success rate of the students in the Osmania University Examinations. It has a track record of excellent results & securing Gold Medals & top ranks in the University. Apart from University Gold Medals, the College has instituted special awards for toppers in Degree and P.G. The Certificates and Medals are awarded to students considering the Academic performance and total marks (SGPA & CGPA) secured in the University Examinations.

      Academic Merit Scholarships:
      • Fr. Silvio Pasquali Merit Scholarship: Awarded to B.Sc. Life Science Student based on the marks secured in all semester examinations.
      • St. Pious X Merit Scholarships: Awarded to the B.Sc. Physical Science Student based on the marks secured in all semester examinations.
      • Mother Enrechetta Scholarship: Awarded to the B.Com student for the highest marks secured in optional subject in all semester examinations.
      • Archbishop Aurlappa Merit Scholarships: Awarded to BA student for securing highest marks in all semester examinations.
      • St. Pious X Merit Scholarships: Awarded to BBA student for securing highest marks in all semester examinations.
      • St. Pious X Merit Scholarships: Awarded to the M.SC student who secured highest total marks in M.SC I, II III and IV semester examinations.
      • Special Scholarship in MBA: Awarded to II MBA student for highest marks in university exams.
      • St. Pious X Alumni Association Scholarship: Instituted by St. Pious X Alumni Association and awarded to the student of III B.Sc. Life Sciences outgoing student based on performance in all semester examinations.
      • St. Pious X Alumni Association Scholarship: Instituted by St. Pious X Alumni Association and awarded to the student of III B.Sc. Physical Sciences outgoing student based on performance in all semester examinations.
      • Special Scholarship in Commerce: Awarded to the III year B.Com student who secures highest total in optional subjects of previous Semester Examinations.
      • Special Scholarship in Arts: Awarded to the III year BA student who secures highest of previous Semester Examinations.
      • Special Scholarship in BBA: Awarded to the III year BBA student who secures highest of previous Semester Examinations.
      • Special Scholarship in BCA: Awarded to the III year BCA student who secures highest of previous Semester Examinations.
      • St. Pious X Alumni Association Scholarship: Instituted by St. Pious X Alumni Association and awarded to the student of II M.Sc. (Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Chemistry/Physics /Mathematics) based on performance in all semester examinations.
      • St. Pious X Alumni Association Scholarship: Instituted by St. Pious X Alumni Association and awarded to the student of II MBA based on performance in all semester examinations.
      • Rev. Mother Regina Merit Scholarship: In honor of Rev. Mother Regina, the founder Principal of the college, the scholarship is awarded to a catholic student who secures highest marks in sacred scripture examination.
      • Silver Jubilee Scholarship: Launched in the Silver Jubilee year 2018 is awarded to deserving bright student every year.
      • Ammasi Memorial Award: Awarded to the Final year UG or PG Catholic/Christian student who secures highest score in Botany in all semester examinations sponsored by Mrs. Philomena.
      • Special Scholarship in Life Sciences: Instituted by Dr.Veena Rishi, Rtd. Head Dept. of Botany is awarded to the best outgoing student of Life Sciences.
      • Dr. Hymavathi Memorial Scholarship: Constituted by her family members to be awarded to two students who excel in Telugu language.
      • Special Scholarship: Instituted by Ms.Rajasree, Rtd. Head Dept. of Political Science is awarded to the best outgoing student in Political Sciences.
      • Special Merit Scholarship in Psychology: Instituted by the Department of Psychology and is awarded to the student securing highest marks in Child Psychology.
      • Smt V. Esther Stanley Merit Scholarship Award: In the honor of Smt V. Esther Stanley, Retd. Head Mistress, Govt. Boys High School, the scholarship is awarded to the student securing highest marks in Experimental Psychology - II year (Sem IV).
      • Smt V. Esther Stanley Merit Scholarship Award: In the honor of Smt V. Esther Stanley, Retd. Head Mistress, Govt. Boys High School, the scholarship is awarded to the student securing highest marks in Experimental Psychology – III (Sem VI ).
      • Shri A. K. Mukherjee Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms.Pritha Ghosh, Dept. of Microbiology and is awarded to “All Round Learner” of B.Sc. Microbiology.
      • Shri A. K. Mukherjee Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms.Pritha Ghosh, Dept. of Microbiology and is awarded to the student of M.Sc. Microbiology for exhibiting “Quest for Research and Scientific Knowledge”.
      • Shri Gyan Prakash Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms. Vanisree, Dept. of Biochemistry and is awarded to “All Round \Learner” of B.Sc. Biochemistry.
      • Shri Gyan Prakash Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms. Vanisree, Dept. of Biochemistry and is awarded to the student of M.Sc. Biochemistry for exhibiting “Quest for Research and Scientific Knowledge”.
      • Shri K.Sanjeev Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms. Kala Bharathi, Dept. of Computer Science and is awarded to the student with Merit & Need Based Financial – Aid in B.Sc. Physical Sciences.
      • Shri. Padma Ramachandran Merit award: Instituted by Mrs. Malathi Devi, Department of Social sciences is awarded to student of Social sciences for securing highest marks in economics (First topper in Economics).
      • Smt. Sumitra Kulkarni memorial award: Instituted by Mrs. Malathi Devi, Department of Social sciences is awarded to student of Social sciences for securing highest marks in economics (Second topper in Economics).
      • Shri C.Balaram Yadhav Memorial Award: Instituted by Ms. Bhavani Pujari , Physical Director and is awarded to the student of UG Final Year for excellence in Osmania University Intercollegiate tournament.
      • Smt. Shakunthala Chauhan Memorial Award: instituted by Ms. Bhavani Pujari ,Physical Director and is awarded to the student for their excellence in Team game(any Sport).
        • ii) Sports Merit Scholarships: Instituted by St. Pious X College Management is awarded to the best Sportsperson of the college based on merit and selected by the Principal, and Physical Director and Sports Committee. iii) Special Scholarships: Every student performing at State level and National level cultural and sports competitions are awarded special scholarships by the Management.

        e) Special Awards and Medals:
      • NSS Award is sponsored by NSS coordinators of the college and awarded to the best NSS volunteer, on the basis of their involvement and services.
      • PEARL Award is presented to the best PEARL volunteer for the services she renders.
      • Best Outgoing Student Award is awarded to a student with
        ✓ Overall academic performance.
        • ✓ Contribution and service rendered with responsibilities and attitude
        ✓ Participation in extra-curricular and extension activities
      • Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented annually by the Institution to two distinguished Alumnus -one who has performed with excellence at the highest level of her chosen profession and another to one who has contributed significantly to the almamater.
