Aim

The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, and a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

Motto of NCC

The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The mottos suggested were "Duty and Discipline"; "Duty, Unity and Discipline"; "Duty and Unity"; "Unity and Discipline". The final decision for selection of "Unity and Discipline" as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. Its activity is guided by certain core values that we endeavour to instill among all ranks of the NCC. These include the following:

NCC Activities

  • Virtual inauguration of 25th national youth festival by PM Narendra Modi-The festival began on the occasion of National Youth Day on January 12 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.Youth Affairs secretary Usha Sharma said that the festival aims to shape the minds of India's youth and transform them into a united force for nation-building. She said that this year, in view of the emerging COVID-19 situation, the festival has been scheduled to be held virtually."The Festival also provides an arena, by creating a mini-India, where youth interact in formal and informal settings and exchange their social and cultural uniqueness. This blend of diverse socio-cultural milieu creates Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat,"Cadets attended the session keenly and got inspired by the message given by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-On 14th January 2022Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Modi's vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India's socio-cultural, political and economic identity. The official journey of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" commenced on 12th March, 2021 which started a 75 week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence and will end post a year on 15th August, 2023.
  • 21 Day SuryanamaskarCadets registered and for suryanamaskar for 21 days they daily updated the yoga calendar and at last they received the appreciation certificate.
  • 73rd Republic DayRepublic Day 2022 India celebrated 72rd Republic Day on Wednesday that is 26 January. Each year, Indians celebrate this day with much zeal and enthusiasm. On the auspicious celebrations, cadets escorted respected Principal Rev. Velangini kumari sister. Then flag hoisting was done by principal.They performed Drill and March past in an efficient manner.
  • NCC Examination 1. B certificate practical examination 2. 22 cadets appeared for the B certificate practical exam on February 18th2022. 3. It was conducted at Bison Polo Training Grounds, Secunderabad. Fall in was at 6:30 am. Exam started around 8 am. Mainly FCBC, Map Reading and Drill were the practical subjects. Examination ended by 5pm in the evening. 4. 22 cadets appeared for the B certificate exam on 20thFebruary 2022. 5. It was conducted at Jayalaxmi Gardens Tirumalgiri Hyderabad. 6. Exam timings were 10am -1pm 22 cadets appeared for the exam.
  • C certificate examination Practical Examination was held on 3rd March 2022 at Bison Polo grounds. 2 of our cadets took part and later theory exam took place at Jayalakshmi gardens, Tirumalgiri on 5th of March 2022.
  • NCC Facilities Inspection-By Commanding Officer Commanding Officer Lt Col Pradeep Kumar visited our college for the inspection. On31st March 2022. CO interacted with the cadets and also asked us few questions related to NCC. Sir made the cadets understand about the importance of NCC especially in a women’s life. He had a short meeting with the principal of the College, Dean, CTO and NCC Committee members. Sir visited NCC room and inspected the various facilities of the college. He checked the registers and files of all the activities of NCC. All cadets (juniors and seniors) felt happy and we’re grateful for the CO Sir’s visit.
  • THAL SAINIK CAMP 2022 SELECTIONS Total 17 senior cadets and 13 junior cadets went for the selections to the unit1 Telangana Battalion BN NCC on 11th April 2022. For the day, obstacle training was done. 6 senior cadets and 2 junior cadets were selected on day one. Cadets selected on 11th were asked to appear again to the unit. Fall in time was 10am. Written test was conducted. Then time table for the further selection process was given. It included the syllabus to be prepared like map reading tent pitching health and hygiene. Introduction to Map reading was also given.4 senior cadets and 2 junior cadets attended the training process according to the time table given on 12th April. LCPL M. TRISHA with regimental No.TS20SWA118243 was selected for TSC TRAINING from 13th -17th April 2022.
  • Inter Directorate Shooting Championship IDSC 5 senior cadets participated in IDSC selections 18th April at the Directorate. Senior cadets JUO K. Bhavana, LCPL S. Akanksha, G. Bhashitha were shortlisted in the screening.
  • ANO/ CTO Conference On 19th May 2022Mrs. Sugantha Mala , CTO (Care Taker Officer) of NCC attended ANO/ CTO conference held at the 1(T) NCC unit at 11 Am. Headed by CO (Lt Col Pradeep Kumar) and AO (Major Aditi Singh). Nearly 20 ANOs attended the conference. Discussion was held on the Enrollment for the next Academic year, plan for the social service programs for the year. Conference came to an end with vote of thanks.
  • B CERTIFICATE RESULT All senior cadets got there B certificate exam results. Out of 22 cadets, 20 passed with B grade and a cadet got C grade. One cadet failed.
  • TSC FIRING and TSC IUC From 1st June – 10th June 2022 the following cadets attended camp at Jawaharlal Nehru Polytechnic College, Ramanthapur. 10 days they were trained in obstacle training, field signals and judging distances. They also had classes on health and hygiene and map reading. 1. JUO K. Bhavana (TS20SWA118259) 2. LCPL S. Akanksha(TS20SWA118251) 3. G. Bhashitha (TS20SWA118255) for TSC FIRINGand 4. LCPL M.Trisha (TS20SWA118243) for TSC IUC These cadets were selected from previous camps and selection methods. 3 cadets took part in the firing of IUC (Inter Unit Camp) and one cadet for TSC (Tal Sainik Camp) of IUC. They were given training and next level of selections will be done.
  • International Day of Yoga On 21st June 2022 from 7.30 to 9Am, NCC Cadets took part in the yoga sessions organized by the CTO of NCC at Auditorium of the college. Cadet G.Bashitha, trained yoga professional took the sessions. Guided the cadets. Totally 42 cadets of I and II yr took part in the same. Later snacks were distributed to the cadets.
  • PRE IGC CAMP Senior cadets SUO K. Bhavana and S.Akansha attended from JULY 4th- 13th at GPTC COLLEGE,MASAB TANK they represented the secunderabad group.
  • IGC CAMP Senior cadet SUO K.Bhavana attended the IGC camp from JULY 25th - AUG 3rd at VRS YRN COLLEGE,CHIRALA,GUNTUR, carrying the pride of our college to the very prestigious camp representing the secunderabad group.
  • Annual Training Camp One senior cadet, Sergeant K.Sowjanya and 19 junior cadets attended the ATC camp held at Koti Women's College, Hyderabad. The camp was of 7days from 9th - 16th August. Few cadets also participated in the drill competition and Senior cadet Sowjanya was the Flag barrier of their Charlie company. They got trained in the drill, had theory classes, practical sessions and learnt many things. They had a great time at the camp. 3 Junior cadets received medals for their good performance in the camp time 1. G.Bhargavi- Media coordinator 2. Akshitha- 1st in Elocution 3.   • HarGharTiranga On 14th August 2022As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan to commemorate 75 years of Indian independence. People who post their selfies with the Indian National Flag on the official website of the campaign will get a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' certificate. CTO Mrs. Sugantha Mala and 20 Senior cadets participated in this campaign by posting their selfies and receiving their certificates.
  • INDEPENDENCE DAY The 76th Independence day was celebrated at college. Flag Hoisting and various cultural activities were organised. All the cadets actively participated by carrying the pride to parade on this auspicious day.
  • Promotion ceremony Senior cadets SUO K.Bhavana and JUO Nirmala Choudhary attended the Promotion ceremony at Koti Women's college and were given the ranks by the Commanding officer Lt Col. Pradeep Kumar sir.
  • Tiranga walk On 16th August 2022As a part of the Har ghar tiranga initiative, 17 Senior cadets and 3 Junior cadetswith the support of the CTO Mrs.Suganatha Mala mam participated and led a Tiranga walk. Walked to the Habsiguda circle and proudly raised the voices "Bharat mata ki Jai", "Vande Mataram " Never have so many Tricolours fluttered triumphantly throughout the city. Everyone in the city witnessed such scenery for the first time ever.
  • Awareness on Suicide prevention Spandana Eda Foundation in collaboration with NCC Committee of the college organised an awareness program on the suicide prevention on August 4th 2022 for all the BSC Life sciences and Physical Sciences Students. The presentation was all about the prevention of suicide and how to overcome the feeling of depression and stress among the teenagers and youngsters.
  • 3rd September,2022 Puneet Sagar Abhiyan- On the above banner Total 36 cadets with the CTO.Mrs.Sugantha Malaactively participated inwater body cleaned- HMT Lake and collected 20kgs of recyclable waste and those were handed o GHMC for recycling. Everyone as an individual took initiative and were involved in this cleanliness program.Cleanliness is vital for one's health and spiritual development.
  • Skit on Women Empowerment NCC cadets performed a skit on women empowerment and conveyed a message about women rights and child marriage at Nagarjuna Community Center- Tarnaka as a community outreach programme on 6th September 2022.
  • RDC selection Total 19 cadets took part in the selection process which was held at the unit. They had a drill test. Selections went on for a few days. The selections were done on the basis on Drill, Marching, Dance, Music and Extempore. On several rounds of selections 19th August, SGT Akanksha got selected for IUC. (Inter Unit Camp).
  • Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan- On September 12,2022CTO Mrs. Sugantha Mala and 21 Senior and 23 Junior cadets participated the live programme on No to Drugs and received the certificates.
  • Investiture ceremony Senior cadet JUO Nirmala Choudhary got selected and elected as the president of the college and Junior cadet LCPL Arpana Kumari got selected as Assistant Sports secretary of the college. For the investiture ceremony on 24th September 2022 CO Lt.Col. Pradeep Kumar sir was invited as Chief Guest and cadets were honored by sir.All the Council members of the college were escorted by the NCC cadets.
  • Annual Training Camp 15 senior cadets and 5 Junior Cadets attended the ATC Camp VIII which was held at MJPTBC Welfare Residential School &JR.College at Wargal, Siddipet. The camp was held from 27th September to 04th October. In the eight days of camp,cadets learned many things like unity, selflessness,water management and cleanliness. They were taught about compass, map reading,rifles etc.They have participated in various competitions held in the camp days and won medals as a token of appreciation.
  • Drill Competition at ATC On 3rd October 2022, cadets participated in Drill Competition and they were part of Charlie company lead by CPL.R.Keerthana. Cadets performed the best drill among all the other companies. They were appreciated with a trophy from our respected CO. LTCol.Pradeep Kumar sir.
  • Achievement of cadets On 18th October 2022, cadets along with the CTO. Sugantha Mala met Principal of the college Sr.Velangini Kumari. They were congratulated for their excellent performance at ATC and also SUO.K.Bhavana was appreciated for her hardwork and determination that led her to TSC Delhi, which she got Bronze medal in Shooting and captured the moment with the trophy and the medals.
  • Unity Run On 31st October 2022, 3 Senior and 5 Junior Cadets participated in the unity run at Osmania Arts College which was organized by the Department of Physical Education and NSS Committee.
  • Orientation for First year students and Enrollement- For this year 2022-23 NCC selections, orientation for the first years was conducted on Saturday 15th October 2022at 11:30am in the college auditorium. For better guidance, GCI Saroj Bala Takur of 1T NCC Girls Bn was invited as Chief Guest. The students were explained about What NCC is all about, How it will help them in future, How can they join defence through NCC. So many students got inspired by her motivational speech. Senior and junior cadets were also present for the orientation and few have shared their experiences in NCC. A presentation was prepared to showcase all achievements that cadets received this year in NCC. Nearly 450 first year students attended the orientation. 140 Students shown interest to take part in the selection to join in NCC. Later the online selections were started 110 students fill the forms 65 students were shortlisted for Online enrolment. Offline selectionsand Enrolmentwereheld on 3rd November 2022 under the supervision of AO madam- Major Aditi Singh.60 students took part in the process which had the physical test, written exam, 100 Meter running Drill and showcasing their extracurricular talents like Dance, Singing, Music, Yoga, Karate and Sports.
  • INSPECTION- St. Pious College got allotted with separate NCC unit from 1(T) NCC Girls BN under Self Financing category. Inspections was held for the above to recognise St. Pious College for allotment of separate unit on 21st January 2021. 4 committee members visited college to inspect the facilities of the college to give recognition. 4 members committee includes Major Col. Ramanuja Singh CO (Commanding Officer), Major Aditi Singh AO (Administrative officer).
  • SELECTION- NCC Students selections were held on 30th January 2021 in the college campus. 69 students attended the selections. Selection process were under the criteria of Written test, Height, Weight, Drill, 100 M Sprint and their performance in Extracurricular activities. 28 cadets were short listed and the enrolment for the same completed.
  • 1(T) NCC GIRLS BN: INSPECTION - St. Pious X College got allotted with separate NCC unit from 1(T) NCC Girls BN under Self Financing category. Inspections were held for the above to recognised our college for allotment of separate unit on 21 January 2021. 4 committee members visited college to inspect college facilities for awarding recognition. 4 members committee includes Major Col. Ramanuja Singh CO (Commanding Officer), Major Aditi Singh AO (Administrative officer).
  • NCC CONFERENCE - On 23rd September 2021, NCC Conference was organised by 1T Girs BN NCC unit at Secunderabad. It was attended by CTO, Sugantha Mala S. Chaired by Commanding Officer, Col Ramanuja Singh and AO Adithi Singh. In the meeting they highlighted about the duties of CTO/ ANO. Maintaining files, NCC Activities, refreshment, Attendance register, Documentation, Lesson plans etc.
  • NCC ORIENTATION FOR ENROLLMENT/ SELECTION - On 28th September 2021 - An Online Orientation was Organised for the First year students were told about the importance of NCC with the help of PowerPoint presentation. They were told about how NCC is going to helpful for future studies and Education and few students came forward to share their experiences and views about NCC.
  • NCC SELECTIONS- On 30th September, 2021 - Selections were taken place in the college for interested students by NCC 1 [T] girls BN staff. Total students attended and were selected. Selection were done on the basis of drill, running , written test and extra curricular activities such as dance, singing, playing musical instruments, drawing. Students were asked to show their talent in culturals and co-curricular activities
  • FIT INDIA - RUN - On 2nd October, 2021 - Fit India Run was done by NCC cadets and report was taken every wednesday. Certificate was given to all the cadets by Fit India website photos and the kilometres run were submitted to the website. Total 27 cadets participated in the run.
  • PRE RDC - On 17th October, 2021 - Total 6 cadets attended the Pre RDC camp for 3 days which was held in the1(T) GIRLS BN. Cadets were taught drill , best cadet selections were done.
  • MAGIC BUS PLACEMENT NCC (VOLUNTEERS) - On 30th October, 2021- Total 20 cadets volunteered for placements done in the college. Cadets were appreciated for their volunteering by the placement officers and were also given certificate of participation.
  • NCC - ANO INTERVIEW- On 28th October, 2021 - Mrs.Suganthamala.S, CTO of the college attended ANO Interview which was held on 28th October 2021 at NCC Directorate at Secunderabad. Orientation, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (Online) were taken place in that account.
  • FRESHERS DAY (ESCORTING) - On 13th November, 2021 - Total 25 cadets escorted IPS officer, commissioner of Hyderabad. ANJANI KUMAR. Cadets escorted Student council members of the college.
  • NCC CAMP – ATC-III -21st November, 2021- On Total 22 cadets attended the ATC-III camp for 7 days from 21-11-21 to 27-11-21. Cadets were taught theory topics in the camp. Firing was also taught to cadets. Cadet KadamanchiBhavana, won first prize in culturals for solo dance.
  • Tribute to GENERAL BIPIN RAWAT:December- A tribute to CDS General BipinRawat and other 11 soldiers who died in the helicopter crash on 8th December 2021 and candle lighting by all the junior and senior cadets, CTO and college principal Sr. Velanginikumari. Songs were sung in praise of the soldiers and the motherland.
  • Camp- Suganthamala.S, CTO of the college attended 7 day NCC camp from 25th December to 31st December 2021,which was conducted by 1 T Girls BN ATC-VII at Bison training grounds Secunderabad. 2 ‘C’certificate cadets H.Sravani and J. Karishma too attended the camp. Tent pitching, Weapon drill, opening and re-fitting of the gun were taught in the camp and Theory classes on various NCC and general subjects were taught.
  • 1 (T) ARTY BN: RDC TRAINING & SELECTION: 5/11/20 - 10/11/20 (10:00am -5:00pm) RDC (Republic Day Celebration) training was held at BTG for 5days. The following cadets took part in RDC selection Training.

  • PULSE POLIO IMMUNIZATION PROGRAMME 31 Jan to 02 Feb, 2021 in this Programme Smuti Chanda Malik, Ritu Singh, Swathi Dangwal, D.Sindoora and N.Aditi were the Cadets who took part. The Cadets were alloted the duties in Addagutta and Musheerabad at the POLIO Booth at different locations on 31-01-2021, 02-02-2021 and 03-03-2021. The Cadets performed door to door survey for POLIO and even gave the POLIO drops to the children
  • 1(T) NAVAL SECUNDERABAD ·Cadet P.Sravani got selected for PRE-IGC in RDC selections held from October 2020 ·In the month of January 2021 Cadre Camp was held from 02- 06 Jan 2021 and was attended by P.Sravan
  • LIGHTENING CANDLE, DIYA [OR] MOBILEFLASHLIGHT; - Our Prime Minister Mr. NarendraModi has asked Indians to stand united in the fight against corona virus in an attempt to show the unity of 1.3 billion people. PM Modi asked Indians to switch off the lights in their homes and light candles, Diyas and mobile flashlights. All NCC cadets participated of 7[T] GIRLS BN NCC with full uniform and to light candles. All the cadets participated and showed our unity towards the nation on 5thApril ,2020.
  • INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY [21- JUNE – 2020] On the occasion of International yoga day 7[T] GIRLS BATTALION organised a campaign, in which cadets also participated. The aim of the campaign is to create awareness among the people of the society that yoga is a part of our life; every individual has to include yoga and exercises in their busy schedule, because yoga keeps us mentally and physically fit.
  • ONLINE CLASSES FOR NCC CADETS Due to the sudden outbreak of corona virus the complete lockdown was implemented, from 5 July, 2020, our unit started online classes, every week on Tuesday and Wednesday the online classes were taken by ANO faculty and PI STAFF. The theory part of the NCC subject was completed with the help of online classes. All the cadets of college attended the online classes.
  • KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS - On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, which is celebrated every year on 26th July as Kargil Vijay Diwas to rekindle the pride and valour of the soldier, who took part in operation Vijay. The day marks the victory of Indian soldiers in recapturing the mountain [TIGER HILL] which was firstly occupied by Pakistan army. On 26th July 2020, due to the lockdown our unit organised online celebration and competitions, like poster making patriotic song, poem writing, essay.
  • INDEPENDENCE DAY - [15 AUGUST] The Independence Day of 2020 was celebrated online due to the lockdown, in our NCC UNIT our respected commanding officer of 7[T] girls battalion hoisted the flag and the cadets participated through online.
  • AATHMA NIRBHAR BHARATH AWARNESS CAMPAIGN 7(T) NCC Girls BN organised an online campaign from (10th Aug to 15th Aug, 2020) in which various competitions were held like poster making, slogan writing and debate on Ban on Chinese APPs, Blog/Vlog on Aatma Nirbhar Bharath, Poetry on “Vocal about local”and Essay writing competitions on the topics “Make in India” and Vocal about Local. Quiz Competition was conducted. All the 18students participated in the above competitions. And our college won prizes in Debate, Poster making and Essay writing.
  • 7(T) girls battalion organized Annual Training Camp (ATC) 12 Senior cadets and 19 Junior cadets of final and second years attended the camp at Bison Polo Ground, Hyderabad, from 16th -25th November 2019. Cadets underwent rigorous training for 10 days under the guidance and supervision of NCC officers of 7(T). Various competitions were conducted in the camp. Nearly 450 cadets of various colleges of 7(T) participated in the camp and in the competitions. Our students actively took part in various competitions like Rifle Shooting, 400meters relay, 100m run, Piloting and Kabbadi.
  • As a part of the camp NCC Day was celebrated on 24th November, 2019 Sai Suman, Suman and Vanitha Reddy 2nd year cadets got selected under Hyderabad Team of 5(T) to perform NCC Day parade and R.Mounika got Selected for Warangal Team.
    Later Hyderabad got over all 1st Runner up in which our students were part of that.
  • SPORTS COMPETITIONS IN OUR ATC CAMP:- In the camp of 7[T] BN, conducted sports competitions Kabaddi and running race in Kabaddi, Sai Suman, Vanitha Reddy won the gold medal, Sai Suman got 2 medals, one for best rider and other as the member of winning team. Vanitha Reddy got one medal for Kabaddi and one silver medal in running race.
  • NCC CLASSES IN RK PURAM:- On every Saturday and Sunday all the 18 cadets from 2nd YEAR and 15 cadets from 3rd YEAR attend the both theory and practical classes in unit, at RK Puram. The classes in unit starts from 8AM to 1PM.
  • DDG VISIT IN OUR 7[T] BN NCC:- The NCC DDG [DIRECTOR DEPUTE GENERAL], AIR COMMANDER, TSS Krishnan, visited our unit, on 28th January 2020. 5 cadets Sai Suman, Lepakshi Sumran, J Sharvani, Meghana Balerao, Sai Likitha, got selected for guard of honour to the chief Guest.
  • FIRING CAMP ORGANISED BY 7[T] BN NCC:- During our ATC camp, 18 cadets went for firing, in our NCC directorate, Sai Suman, K.Vanitha Reddy got selected for IGC shooting camp.
  • ‘B’CERTIFICATE EXAM:- The 18 cadets from 2nd year 2019-2020 batch have written, ‘B’ certificate. The practical exam was conducted at Bison Polo ground on 8th Feb 2020 and the theory exam was conducted 9th Feb 2020.
  • ‘C ’CERTIFICATE EXAM:- The 15 cadets from 3rd year, have written ‘C’ certificate exam, the practical exam was conducted on 23-02-2020 at Bison Polo ground and the theory exam was conducted on 01-03-2020 at AOC Centre.
  • RALLY CONDUCTED BY 7[T] BN NCC:- A rally was conducted by 7[T] unit and KIMS HOSPITAL, at Banjara hills, for creating awareness to the society about breast cancer. Sai Suman, Lepakshi Sumran, J Sharvani from ST. PIOUS X DEGREE & PG College for Women got selected for piloting to the chief guest of cancer specialist from London and to the commanding officer of 7[T] BN.
  • RALLY CONDUCTED BY 7[T] AND 5[T] BN NCC:- A rally was conducted by both 7[T] AND 5[T] unit, at necklace road, for Swachh Bharat Abhyan. Which was held on 07-12-2019 all cadets of 2nd and 3rd year have participated in the rally.
  • RALLY CONDUCTED ON WOMEN’S DAY:- On the occasion of Women’s Day, Osmania University conducted a rally on 7th March 2020, in which 18 cadets from 2nd year participated.

Mrs. Sugantha mala.S, Lecturer, Department of Biotechnology is the care taker of the cadets. Regular parades are conducted in the campus.
