About

It is a Dravidian native language of India. This stands in par with Hindi, English, Bengali which also attained a status with the few other languages .Telugu is a state language of Telangana. Telugu is a primary language spoken in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Objectives

Objectives of our Department are as follows:

  • It inculcates social values and morals in the students
  • It enables the students to develop interest towards this language
  • It spread the greatness of Telugu language, culture, art and tradition as state festivals
  • It is a simple language so that even common people can understand
  • It brought out the beauty in the spoken language

Celebrations:

  • On the occasion of of Telugu Basha Dinostavam, department of Telugu conducted Essay writing and poster making competition on 10th September 2022, for all B.A,BBA,B.Com and Bsc students.

  • Commissioner ate of Collegiate Education Govt.of Telangana Awarded ‘’Certificate of Appreciation ‘’ to Mrs.Sandia Rani, Asst. Professor of Telugu, St.Pious X Degree & PG College for Women Hyd. In recognition of her Out standing role as State Level Evaluator for “Jignasa Student Study Projects in Telugu for the Academic Year 2021 – 2022.

  • Dept.of Telugu Organised about Character parade on “Ramayan” characters for the students of all groups of 1st year as a part of Taruni Club Activity.Students participated very enthusiastically in this Activity.
  • Dept.of Telugu conducted memory test on 26.11.2021 about Telugu poets & writers For the students of all groups of I year under Club Activity.Students participated very enthusiastically in this Activity. By this activity they Memories the poets with their works .
  • 15.01.2021, On the occasion of Sankranthi Festival Dept. of Telugu organised ‘Taruni’ Club Activity for all groups of I yr. Students. This activity was organised to know the rituals about this festival.

    We celebrate Telangana Bhasha Dhinostavam on Sep 9th every year. We conduct various competitions such as:
