It is a Dravidian native language of India. This stands in par with Hindi, English, Bengali which also attained a status with the few other languages .Telugu is a state language of Telangana. Telugu is a primary language spoken in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In our department, teaching is not only a profession but a passion. It has an outstanding academic track record of securing gold medals and university ranks from Osmania University. Each and every faculty member interacts well with students and motivates them to pursue higher education. Faculty members identify the learners’ needs through assessment tests and interaction. Steps are taken to explore the hidden talent and originality among students. The department encourages student projects, arranges guest lectures by eminent professors and scientists from national laboratories, and also organizes field trips on a regular basis.

Literary Activity:
On 10.8.2025 The Department of Telugu conducted Art Work making competition on సాంప్రదాయ పండుగలు- కళారూపాలు at Inter Collegiate Level. Students participated enthusiastically, and certificates were awarded to the winners. Students will gain a deeper appreciation of the concept of “సాంప్రదాయ పండుగలు- కళారూపాలు”, highlighting its relevane in art, life, and culture.

On the occasion of Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam, the Department of Telugu had a celebration on 29 th August, prior to which various competitios were conducted on 25 th August in room no’s 37 & 38 for the students to participate and showcase their talents.

The Department of Telugu has conducted an activity for 1st Year BA and BSc students on 25th July 2025, on the topic రామాయణం. The activity was conducted by Mrs. Y. Jyothi, faculty of Department of Telugu, where she presented a brief introduction about Ramanayam to 40 students. A quiz was followed after the introduction, where the students were able to test their knowledge about the Ramanayam. The quiz not only helped the students to recall their knowledge, but also helped them to interact with their classmates and the faculty freely.
