The department of nutrition was established in the year 2023, the Department of Nutrition is committed to academic excellence, innovation, and service in the field of health and nutrition. With a vision to shape future leaders in nutritional science, the department offers comprehensive Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Our curriculum is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in human nutrition, dietetics, public health, and food science, while encouraging research and critical thinking. Through state-of-the-art laboratories, efficient faculty, and community outreach initiatives, the department fosters a learning environment that addresses the nutritional needs of today’s society.
Graduates from the department are well-prepared for diverse career opportunities in hospitals, research institutions, food industries, NGOs, and government sectors, contributing meaningfully to public health and wellness.

On 18th September 2025 department of Nutrition and Dietetics in collaboration with EDII-TABIF have conducted FoSTaC Training Program for UG and PG nutrition students by the speaker Dr.Raj Kumar, Ex Technical officer, FSSAI & FoSTaC Trainer. The training targeted to UG & PG Nutrition students
On 23rd September 2023 a guest lecture on the Importance of Nutrition on Management of Health was organised by the department of Nutrition & Dietetics at the college. The speaker was, Dr. Suresh Challa Scientist F, Deputy Director, Head, Department of Cell biology, National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR).
On 17th December 2024 a guest lecture on Nutritional Psychology was organised by the department of Nutrition & Dietetics at the college. The speaker, Mrs. Sridevi Yerroju, Founder of Amruthaahaar, Nutritionist & Psychologist, captivated the students with her expertise and insights.

The department of Nutrition & Dietetics celebrated “World Food Day 2024” celebration on 16th October 2024, at Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam. Both UG & PG Nutrition students along 2 faculty took part in the program.

The Chemistry Department organized an industry visit to Mac Laboratories on July 12, 2024. This visit aimed to provide students with valuable hands-on experience and orientation to internship opportunities.

Eighteen students from I and II M.Sc Chemistry participated in the inaugural day of the "One Week, One Theme: Energy and Energy Devices" program organized by CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology on June 25, 2024. Students gained insights into renewable and non-renewable energy sources and also Explored various labs, enhancing their practical knowledge.

The department of Nutrition and Dietetics have celebrated “Nutrition Week 2025” from 1st September - 4th September, 2025 on the theme “Eat Right for a Better Life”. The department of Nutrition & Dietetics celebrated “Nutrition Week 2024” of the theme, “Eat Well, Live Well”, from 11-09-2024 to 14-09-2024. In the week various programs, activities and competitions were organized, by the coordinator, Ms. B. Maheshwari, Dept. of Biochemistry and Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics. Every program, activity and competition that took place, aimed at spreading awareness of Nutrition in the campus and off the campus.

On 10th Sept 2025 department of Nutrition and Dietetics have conducted Anthropometry assessment for young adults in the college campus. The assessment was carried by II M.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics students on I B.Sc. MSDS & MSCS students On 23rd july 2025 the department of Nutrition and Dietetics have inaugurated and celebrated NutriZen Club Day. The event was organized as part of the college's Club Day celebration, with the objective of introducing the club, its vision, and future activities to the college community. The Departments of Nutrition in collaboration with Ayur club,conducted Blood Donation Drive on 16th June 2025 in the college Auditorium from 10.30 am - 2.30 pm in association with Lions club of Hyderabad , City circle Jubilee on occasion of world blood donor day 2025-Give Blood give hope:together we save lives .
