About

Hindi is a national language of India. Department of Hindi repository of invaluable knowledge of ancient Hindi Literature. The Department through its committed efforts achieved a pass percentage of 99% by conducting Unit Tests, Quarterly Exams and Pre-Final for the students. Students are encouraged to do projects and participate in Inter-collegiate competitions. Department is providing a library of 2000 books. Students are motivated through Camtasia and PowerPoint presentation.

Objectives

Objectives of our Department are as follows:

  • To preserve and promote India’s linguistic interests.
  • To promote Hindi as a global language.
  • To instill human values inherent in its literature.
  • To facilitate in students: a love for reading, assessing the character and the use of language.
  • To develop many essential skills of vocabulary enhancement and sentence structure.
  • To apply the new words learnt in their daily spoken language using Hindi Grammar book.

Events 22-23

Hindi Diwas:

  • Dept. Of Hindi organised "Hindi Diwas celebration"on 21 Sept, 2022. On this occasion department conducted various competitions like   Shayari Competition, Elocution Competition,       Navras - Expression Competition, Debate Competition and Essay writing Competition for I,II and III yr. students.
    Mr.Kapil Deev  (Media) and Smt. Rajni Dhari, Hod, Dept  ofHindi , Hindi Mahavidyalaya, Hyderabad, were present as chief guests. In his speech Mr. Kapil Deev explained the importance of trying to the students by giving the example of Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poem "Koshish karnewalon ki kabhi haar nahin hoti." Rajni ji gave information about jobs in Hindi language.    

Guest Lecture:

  • Dept. of Hindi organised Guest Lecture for Hindi students of all groups from I yr. Dr. Sushma Devi (Asst. Prof. in Hindi, from Bhavan’s Vivekananda Degree College, Sainikpuri, Hyderabad), the resource person gave a lecture on the topic ‘Hindi mein rozgar ki sambhavnayein’ on 7th November 2022.

Celebrations:

  • Department of Second Languages invited Dr. K. Lavanya, Principal , Telangana University, Hyd. as chief guest on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on 21st feb 2023 . In her speech she explained about importance of Mother language. Department conducted various competitions at intercollegiate like JAM, essay writing, elocution for all 3years UG students.

Outreach Programme:

  • Department of second languages in its pursuit to enrich the knowledge of primary school children conducted competitions on 17th February 2023 at Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan Upper primery Government school, Nacharam. Students were participated with enthusiasm. 6 Studets were involved in the outreach programme. Sanjana III BSC MZC, Jarna II BBA, Harshitha II BBA, Parimala II BBA, Tanvi II BBA, Amulya II BBA

Clubs
  • On 25th March, 2023, Department of Hindi organized activities under Pratibha Club for all II yr. students. The theme of this activity was , Vichron ka pitara students express views on how was their journey from school to college and the moments they enjoyed in this period.

  • Prathibha - Club Activity:

    To know more about poet and their service towards Hindi literature, Department of Hindi organized various activities under Pratibha Club.

    • 1 yr - story telling on “Nava ras” on 21 Dec. 2021
    • 2 yr ( B.Com , BBA & BA) - PPT Presentation on Kabirdas, Tulsidas and Meera Bai on 09.12.2021.
    • 2 yr B.Sc - PPT on "Indian culture" and Premchand on 15 Dec. 2021
    • 3 yr - JAM on the topic "Covid mahamari mein pariwarik rishtein aur Paison ka mahatva" on 29 Nov.2021.

  • We celebrate Hindi Divas on 14th September every year. We conduct various competitions such as:
