Extesion Activity

• Department of Computer Science and other Science Departments together had conducted National Science day on 28th February 2026.

• Department of Computer Science and other Departments of Physical sciences together had conducted Alumni meet 2026 on 31st January 2026. The organisers had honoured 2 of the alumni with Distinguished Alumni Award and Best Alumni Contributor Award.

• Department of Computer Science and other Departments of Physical sciences together had conducted an Intercollegiate Fest “SPARC 2K25” ON 5TH December 2025. The event had witnessed over 450 participants from 41 institutions

• Department of Computer Science and Placement Cell together had conducted an Workshop on AI Driven Learning on 2nd December 2025. Mr. Sandeep and Team from HCL Technologies were the resource person of the workshop.

• Department of Computer Science had conducted an Alumni interaction programme 11th September 2025 for final year Physical sciences and BCA students bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by connecting current students with a successful alumna. The Alumni resource person on the occasion was Ms. Mani Harika an SRE-Junior software engineer from Verizon

• Department of Computer Science in association with Departments of Physical sciences and IIC had organised an internal Hackathon on 15th September 2025 to foster creativity, enhance teamwork, and identify standout business ideas – projects. 23 different teams of various disciplines participated in the hackathon

• Department of Computer Science in Collaboration with Department of Social Sciences encouraged 6 students of III BCA and III MSDS and 2 students of I B.Sc.AI/ML to attend a one day workshop on ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: EMPOWERING EDUCATION & ADMINISTRATION WITH GENERATIVE AI & PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS organised by SANSKRUTI - INSTITUTE OF DRAVIDIAN CULTURE & RESEARCH & DEPT. OF COMMUNICATION- INH on 30th august 2025

• Department of Computer science and IQAC In Collaboration with I20Fever had encouraged A group of 25 enthusiastic final year students of BCA, Physical sciences and B.Com. to attend an EDU Fair organized to provide insights into overseas education opportunities

• Department of Computer science in collaboration with other Physical sciences departments conducted a 5-Day Certificate Course on Full Stack Web Development using Bootstrap and Django from 26th June 2025- 1st July 2025 for II year Under graduate Computer Science students.

  Celebrations

• Department of Computer Science had organized Independence Day Celebrations on 15th August 2025. The Department had conducted Creative Writing, Group singing, Group dance and Elocution competitions marking the celebrations. Prof Pardhasaradhi is the Chief Guest of the occasion.

• On 15th August 2025 Department of Computer Science along with NCC and Sports committee together had organised 79th Independence day celebrations. As a part of it Computer Science Department had conducted various competitions like Group dance, Group singing, Creative Writing and Elocution competitions from 11th to 14th of August 2025.

• The Department of Computer Science organised Christmas Celebrations for all students which included various competitions providing students a platform to showcase their skills and creativity. Over the course of the celebrations from 12th to 23rd December, a variety of themes, performances, and competitions were performed by various departments from 9:10 to 9:30 every day.

  Guest Lecture

• Mrs. P.Soumya Sree delivered a guest lecture on “Awareness on Cyber Security” for II BBA students of St.Pious X Degree & PG College for Women on 16th July, 2025

• Department of Computer Science conducted a Guest Lecture on “Data Analysis Techniques and Machine Learning models” on 23rd June 2025 for II B.Sc. Physical sciences, II BCA and MSc Data Science students. The resource person is Mrs. K. Sandhya, Assistant Professor, st. Joseph’s Degree & PG College, Hyderabad.

  Industrial Visits and Field Trips

• Department of Computer science, Physical Sciences and IKS Cell together organized a Heritage Tour on 7th February 2026 to Warangal. 24 students visited historical and cultural sites including Warangal Fort, Thousand Pillar Temple, and Laknavaram Bridge.

• Department of computer science arranged a field trip to THUB for computer science and BCA students on 23rd January 2025. Mrs.Aruna, Mrs.Swapna and Mrs.Vinuthafrom computer science department accompanied 100 students of Computer science, data science and BCA for the trip

• Ms. Zinnerah Afsheen Shafeeq, Anisha Seervi and Farah Khan of I BCA participated in 48 hours Hackathon organised by Department of Computer Science,IIC in collaboration with Mindspark Learning Hub held on 9th Feb - 11th Feb 2026 at St. Ann's College for Women, Mehdipatnam

The workshop, held on February 27 and 28, 2026, was organized by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) at the Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus. Supported by Google and the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, the program focused on innovative teaching and learning enhancement.

• Department of Computer Science organized a workshop on PC Hardware on September 2nd 2025, at the college auditorium. The resource person for the session was Mr. Juned Khan, an expert in the field of computer hardware and technology.

• On July 15, 2026, the Department of Computer Science and IQAC hosted an "Orientation on LMS" for first-year B.Com, BBA, BA, B.Sc, and BCA students in the college auditorium. Resource person Mrs. Soumya Sree introduced key platform features, including access to course materials, assignment submissions, attendance tracking, assessments, and faculty communication channels.

1. Ms. Zinnerah Afsheen Shafeeq, Anisha Seervi and Farah Khan of I BCA participated in 48 hours Hackathon organised by Department of Computer Science,IIC in collaboration with Mindspark Learning Hub held on 9th Feb - 11th Feb 2026 at St. Ann's College for Women, Mehdipatnam

Labs and other facilities:

1. The Institution is at the prime location of the city equipped with 370 computers.
2. Every year annual budget plan is prepared according to the requirements thus updating the computers annually and some being replaced with new ones.
3. A new Data science lab is added to facilitate new UG and PG data science courses .
4. A dedicated Semi Leased line for Seamless internet connectivity and WIFI facility is available with biannual subscription.
5. The Bandwidth of the internet is continued to be 500 MBPS to ensure faster internet connectivity.
6. 2 Jio internet connections are specially being provided to library facility with 50 mbps speed for best utilisation to data center provided in the library.
7. The Campus is also equipped with Interactive display panels for a better online teaching facility. K7 anti virus software is renewed every three years to ensure security and firewall facilities in college.
8. The College uses G-Suite and Zoom for Education for Online classes, Assessment, Quizzing, Webinars, Faculty and student development programs and other real time collaboration.
9. The College embraced this weaving technology to continue the Teaching and Learning process on the Online platform giving faculty the opportunity and sufficient training to integrate with G-Suite for Education with a critical set of skills to conduct online classes hassle-free.
10. LMS designed and maintained by the college also plays a major role in teaching and learning to post various materials, conduct quizzes, upload marks and certificates, taking feedback etc
